Back in 1984, I was crazy about this game! I know
it's cack, but I used to spend hours trying to complete
it, but to no avail.
This game spent a
considerable amount of time on the
WANTED list, and I had
near-on given up on ever seeing the ending. That was
until I received a kind email from Sandy Duce who said
that she had the ending and did I want it. Of course I
wanted it! Needless to say that it didn't take too long
(4 days) for it to be placed on this site. So here is
the ending...
All the rods are in
place:
Rod Hull is sorted;
Rod-ney Trotter is
done;
Rod for your back is
complete.
The End Rod.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
Cheated!
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once all the rods in the inventory have been used up,
the core temperature goes down and when it gets to 900,
the screen flicks over to the end message. The message
reads: "MELTDOWN HAS BEEN AVERTED. CONGRATULATIONS,
YOU HAVE SUCCEEDED IN YOUR MISSION. YOUR TIME FOR THIS
MISSION WAS ##:##:##. SEE IF YOU CAN DO IT IN A SHORTER
TIME."
Before the ending message,
there is a short animated sequence that shows our hero
doing something with some other guy (oo-er, missus). I'm
not quite sure what's going on here, but sometimes our
hero runs for the door, and other times he just stands
there!
