Gremlin Graphics really did know how to produce
some great games: Thing on a Spring (the best), Monty on
the run, Bounder, Jack the Nipper, and many, many more.
Saying that, this game was developed by the great Shaun
Southern who also created Kikstart 1 & 2,
Trailblazer, Hero of the Golden Talisman, Hummdinger,
and a whole host of other C64 greats. So with such a
high calibre of work, was Shaun able to produce a
top-notch ending?

The final level is
complete...

...and the score or
added.

The End... well
nearly.

The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I'm not sure how this was completed as it has been
sitting on my system for a very long time and so I am
unsure of its origination. I think it's one that Frank
sent to me as a job lot (some that he found on his
system!).
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
The ball slows down after completing its final journey
and bonus points are awarded. The message,
'Congratulations' appears in the bottom-right of the
screen and an ending tune (by Shaun) kicks in. The tune
ends and the words, 'THE END' are displayed on the
screen. The game ending then flicks over to the 'name
entry' screen, showing your rating as MEGABLAZER.
COMMENTS:
I didn't think that this game would have any kind of
ending and that it would just loop back to the
beginning, but with a fast pace.
It's refreshing to see the
ending and also hear an ending tune by Shaun Southern.
FINAL SAY: It's worth a quick look and listen.
