Datasoft. I like this game, although many c64 owners and
magazine reviewers didn't. Very similar to the Goonies,
it's an arcade puzzle game. Never finished this as a
kid, but now with the magic of emulation I finally have.
You have to work you're way through seven tricky levels
and defeat the villainous Volta.

Big Bird is doing his
thang.

"Up, up and away!"

The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I loaded it up and played through it. I used a few
sneaky save states on the way, but I remembered a lot of
it from playing years ago. Many people found the last
level difficult, but I found it very easy. I think I
just got lucky and found a simple plan to defeat Volta.
(Vinny: I just used a trained version by NOSTALGIA
and jumped straight to the end).

A cool trainer by
NOSTALGIA.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
After throwing your sword at the on-coming thunderbolts
that Volta throws around the level, you must collect the
three heart shaped items that fall from them and place
them in the room below Volta's. This causes the caged
bird to fly out and pick Volta up. After hurling Volta
into the lava pit in the centre of the screen you are
picked up and flown to safety. You are then shown the
end screen with a message telling you of your success.
Your bonus is calculated and you are returned back to
the title page.
