You've heard me say it a millions times, but I'm
going to say it again: I'm a BIG fan of Jason Kelk's
work and also enjoy playing his games. He really is a
Master when it comes to producing shoot-em-ups for the
Commodore 64. It's also good to see the progression of
this game to where Jason is now with his programming,
which is so much more polished. Here's to Co-axis 2189
(coming soon from
Psytronik)...

Nearly there!

The end of level 9...

The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
I used a cracked version of the game that allowed me to
skip levels by pressing the 'Esc' key. I also had a play
through with infinite lives/energy.
I also hacked my way to the end and used the following cheat:
-
Load the game and freeze it using Action Replay Cart
(ALT+F in CCS64 or ALT+Z in Vice)
-
Enter POKE 2133,240 (this changes BNE command to BEQ
in mem location $0855)
-
Restart the game and start a new game. Lose all your
lives and you will see the 'ending' screen as
opposed to the 'game over' screen!
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once you have completed level 9, The Final Countdown,
the ending fires up with a new dedicated tune along with
a message that reads: "YOU MADE IT! WELL DONE!"
In the background is a parallax effect that is built up
with LOADS of spaceships!
