Citadel is a classic game. Beautiful graphics, smooth scrolling and great gameplay make it one of the best action / puzzle games on the C64. I recommend you give this a go if you haven’t played it before.

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?: A lot of saving and reloading and an infinite energy cheat. I eventually found the final exit.

SO WHAT HAPPENS?: You get a congratulations message, which is almost identical to the message you get between levels. It tells you that the deeper dungeons are now unlocked – meaning, you should play it again now that the difficulty has been increased. I completed it once more – only to get the same message.

COMMENTS: Awful ending. The game hasn’t got many levels, so I was hoping for something more than a small message at the end.

FINAL SAY: Rubbish. Another great game that lacks the icing on the cake.
