Both David and I share a love for
this game and it has remained one of our favorites since
the day it was released way, way back in 1985! Bounty
Bob Strikes Back is a fantastically challenging
platformer that incorporates a unique graphics style
throughout. Of course, it can be frustrating at times,
but it still urges us all on to have just one more try.
I'm
delighted that David played through the game so that we
can all, finally, see the ending...

Level 25 is complete!

Onwards and
upwards...

Fireworks and an
ending message :)

The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
As most of us are complete and utter
cheats, David was not going to break the mould: he used
an infinite lives cheat :)
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once level 25 is complete, the level interlude tells you
that level 26 is "The End". The screen flicks to a
message that appears bit by bit, which reads: "CONGRATULATIONS!
YOU ARE AN EXPERT! FOR GETTING THIS FAR, YOU MAY START
AT ANY LEVEL YOU DESIRE BY SETTING SPECIAL CODES 1-25 IN
THE GAME ADJUSTMENT SCREEN AND THEN PRESSING F7." Behind
the final message is a fireworks display.
COMMENTS:
Web Master:
I am truly shocked that this game has an ending! I
always thought it just looped back to level 1. It's
great to see that it has one and also the fact that
the programmer put a small amount of effort into
producing it. I think it deserves an overall score
of 4.
David:
Sadly, the
ending doesn't match up to the rest of the game as
far as presentation is concerned, but at least you
get a congratulatory message and fireworks display
(poor as it is). I'd give it 3/10 overall.
FINAL SAY: It's not brilliant, but at least it
has an ending.
