Asterix and the Magic Cauldron is an arcade
adventure by Melbourne House.
I used
to love the Asterix books as a kid. I really liked the
Gaul society that the writer created and all it's unique
characters. I also liked to see them beating up the
roman soldiers, which seemed to happen quite a lot.
This is
also true in the game. There are a lot of centurions
roaming around for Asterix to fight with. The aim of the
game is to collect the seven pieces of the magic
cauldron which have been scattered throughout the land.
The graphics are very cartoon-like and it's fun to play.
The backgrounds seem to take a while to draw on the
screen and the action is a little simple to keep you
interested for a long time. Once you know what to do in
the game, it shouldn't take you too long to complete it.
Give it a try.

Just one piece left
to collect.

"Free at last!"

The End.
HOW WAS IT COMPLETED?:
Using an infinite lives cheat.
SO WHAT HAPPENS?:
Once the final piece of the cauldron is collected a
message appears on the screen reading 'BY TOUATIS YOU
HAVE DONE IT'. The game then restarts.
