Matt: "Remember this one? Chirpy tunes, pretty graphics, stupidly hard... Can't remember if I ever completed back in the day - surely I couldn't have had the patience, even with unlimited lives."

HOW WAS IT COMPLETED? Matt: "Things are soooo easy nowadays with save states."

SO WHAT HAPPENS? Matt: "There are three levels to the final section: First you have to make your way across a river by way of jumping on stepping stones, all the while avoiding grenades from the forest and scaring the birds with your gun; secondly it's a dash across a the enemy's compound, tackling soldiers coming at you left and right, and avoiding the nasty grenades again; then, the final level, which resembles a kind of poor man's Mission AD where you're inside the baddie's headquarters and have to find a safe. Again, the soldiers come thick and fast - duck and shoot, duck and shoot all the way to the end, which, as you expect, is arse."

COMMENTS: Matt: "Standard end-of-level message, but this time you get a 'well done' before it's back to the title screen. Not much reward for a game so ridiculously hard.

I've saved it one screen from the end. Keep walking right until you hit the blue safe - be warned, though, as the soldiers will rush from behind firing like no bugger's business, so keep turning, ducking and firing..."
